Mental Health Training

Why Mental Health Training?

Mental Health training in the workplace is a high priority. The cost to business is not just financial but if left untreated, ill mental health can affect relationships with colleagues, friends, family and ultimately quality of life.

At Workwise Wellness, we pride ourselves on fostering a holistic approach to mental health that goes beyond conventional norms. Our dedication lies in equipping individuals with invaluable tools to manage their mental well-being effectively.

Poor mental health among employees costs UK employers approximately £51 billion annually. Notably, presenteeism is the largest contributor, costing employers around £24 billion each year. Mapping Mental Health for Managers

Managers are in a strong position to positive mental health of their teams.

Being a specialist in mental health or having therapist and counsellor qualifications is NOT expected, however, being able to recognise early signs of distress and signpost to appropriate support can be very helpful.

          Mapping Mental Health in Education

Lecturers and teachers who increase their knowledge of mental health benefit from taking care of themselves but also role modelling wellbeing behaviours to students.

A role with high pressure and huge responsibility, so knowing stress signals and guidance to appropriate support is beneficial.

          Mapping Mental Health in Law

          Challenges in law include:

          • Dealing with clients who face challenging situations
          • Mental health stigma as a barrier to seeking help.
          • Intense pressure, fast paced, high expectations, no margin for error role.
          • Self-care is hard to prioritise with the long working hours.

This was a fantastic course, it was sensitively delivered, well-paced and extremely informative. I felt supported whilst covering challenging material. Would definitely recommend.
